ORPHEA HOME PROTECTION ANTS BAIT is an effective gel insecticide against ants. The product can be used indoors (private homes and/or public buildings, residential, commercial, industrial) and around buildings (perimeter of buildings, terraces, and private gardens).
The product contains a bitter substance to prevent accidental ingestion by non-target people or animals. Thanks to its extraordinary palatability, the bait is very effective against ant species that feed on sugary and protein substances. ORPHEA HOME PROTECTION ANTS BAIT can lead to the eradication of the entire colony: its delayed effect, which manifests after a few hours of ingestion, allows worker ants to transfer the product to other individuals present in the nest, including queens and larvae, through the particular phenomenon known as Trofallaxis, which involves sharing food among individuals of the same colony. The area to be treated must be carefully inspected to determine the extent of the infestation. Read the label carefully before use. Remove any alternative food sources reachable by ants from surrounding areas. ORPHEA HOME PROTECTION ANTS BAIT should be applied in areas where ants are present, near nests or along their trails. For outdoor use (terraces, patios, yards, or gardens), the dispenser should be placed in areas of highest presence: eaves and entry points for cables.

Preparation and Use
Mode of use: bait dispensers containing Orphea Home Protection Ants Bait must be placed near nests or along the trails of ants. Open the ends of the dispenser along the pre-cut line to allow the passage of ants. Activate the dispenser by pressing the capsule fully until the gel is fully dispensed into the central compartment.

Dose: 0.4 – 0.9 g/m²
To achieve the above dosage, place dispensers containing 5 g of gel each every 5-10 m² depending on the level of infestation (low/high).
Bait dispensers should be placed near ant trails or close to their nests (it is advisable not to place them above the nest).
Application frequency: after 7 days from application, inspect the dispensers and replace them if the bait is consumed and the infestation persists.
Treatment frequency: the treatment can be repeated after three months from the end of the previous one.

Warning: when used outdoors, ensure the product is protected from direct sunlight, rain, and/or possible washing away.

Dispose of the product/container in accordance with current hazardous waste regulations. In case of contact with eyes, rinse thoroughly with water for at least 15 minutes. Do not forget to remove contact lenses. In case of contact with skin, wash with soap and plenty of water, without rubbing. If necessary, take the victim to the hospital and show the product label or container, when possible. Do not leave the intoxicated person alone. Symptomatic and supportive treatment. IN CASE OF MEDICAL ASSISTANCE, KEEP THE CONTAINER OR LABEL HANDY AND CONTACT A POISON CENTER. Avoid contamination of drains, surface and groundwater systems, as well as soil. Recover the product from the affected surface and the wash water used for treatment. In case of water spillage, prevent spreading using appropriate barrier devices. The recovered product must be disposed of in accordance with local legislation. Contact the competent authorities if the situation cannot be controlled. The product, its container, and dead insects must be disposed of in accordance with local regulations. At the end of treatment, dispose of unused bait and the appropriate bait containers according to current regulations. The product is stable, within the original container, for up to 3 years if stored in a dry, cool, and well-ventilated place. Keep the container closed and protected from direct sunlight. It is advisable to store the product at temperatures between 5°C and 45°C.

Do not apply in areas recently treated with other insecticides. To avoid resistance phenomena, it is advisable to alternate treatments with products based on active ingredients with different mechanisms of action. The product should be used only until complete control of the infestation is achieved. Use the product at the recommended doses and intervals. To avoid risks to the environment, follow the instructions and methods of use. In the case of application around buildings, avoid application near drains or sewer systems. In the case of treatments in areas connected to sewer systems, ensure that the product is applied in areas not subject to flooding risk or with water stagnation, in points not reachable by rain, wash water, or possible washing away. The product must be applied safely to minimize the risk of ingestion by children or non-target animals. Do not throw the product on the ground, in watercourses, in the sink, or in sewer drains. Do not disperse in the environment. Do not apply to surfaces that may come into contact with food or feed.
