LONTAX PLUS can be used as support for the prophylaxis and treatment of parainfluenza syndromes caused by viruses. LONTAX PLUS can also be used preventively to hydrate the nasal mucosa for an extended period. It can be used in adults and children from 1 year of age. LONTAX PLUS contains no preservatives. A sterile filter ensures the sterility of the solution even after repeated use. LONTAX PLUS has no decongestant effect. LONTAX PLUS is a clear, colorless, and odorless viscous solution.
Low humidity and air pollution can dry out the nasal mucosa. However, the nose can only perform its filtering function if the mucosa is sufficiently hydrated. LONTAX PLUS forms a moisturizing protective film on the nasal mucosa. This liquid film creates a physical barrier against external agents. Prolonged hydration can protect against colds and parainfluenza syndromes caused by cold viruses. The nose is the most frequent route of infection for the viruses responsible for colds and parainfluenza syndromes. Parainfluenza syndromes are caused by viruses, including rhinoviruses and coronaviruses. When viruses penetrate the nose, they can colonize the mucosa and infect its cells, multiplying and spreading. This causes typical cold symptoms, such as a stuffy or runny nose, sore throat and/or headache, cough, etc. In the early stages of the illness, it is often not possible to clearly distinguish a cold from the flu. The flu is a potentially serious illness, for which a definitive diagnosis requires medical intervention. LONTAX PLUS contains Carragelose, a substance of marine origin obtained from red algae. Carragelose has a dual positive effect.
– LONTAX PLUS forms a protective barrier against cold viruses. Colds and parainfluenza syndromes are caused by a significant variety of viruses, including rhinoviruses and coronaviruses. Carragelose nonspecifically binds cold viruses and prevents their adhesion to the mucosa, thereby reducing the multiplication and spread of viruses that infect the respiratory tract.
– LONTAX PLUS forms a moisturizing protective film. Thanks to the action of Carragelose, the film remains longer on the nasal mucosa and acts as a physical barrier against external agents. The film, by ensuring physiological hydration of the mucosa, helps the body’s natural defenses repel cold viruses.
LONTAX PLUS can reduce the duration of parainfluenza syndromes and mitigate the severity of cold symptoms. LONTAX PLUS can reduce the occurrence of new infections and the exacerbation of symptoms of viral colds. LONTAX PLUS is indicated for the prophylaxis and supportive treatment of viral infections of the respiratory tract. LONTAX PLUS can also be used preventively to hydrate the nasal mucosa for an extended period and, therefore, as prophylaxis and supportive treatment for all disorders arising from a dry and irritated nasal mucosa.

Components
1 ml of solution contains 1.2 mg of iota-carrageenan (Carragelose), 0.4 mg of kappa-carrageenan, sodium chloride, and purified water.

Free from lactose and gluten.

Usage Instructions
At the first symptoms of flu-like infection (e.g., sore throat, itchy or runny nose, etc.), spray at least 3 times a day for each nostril. Start treatment as soon as possible after the onset of the first flu-like symptoms and continue until symptoms have ceased. If fever develops or there are no improvements after 1 week of treatment, consult a doctor.
To hydrate dry nasal mucosa, apply the spray in the nose several times a day as needed.
– Remove the protective cap and, if necessary, operate the pump a few times until an even mist is obtained. Now LONTAX PLUS is ready for use.
– To avoid injury, gently insert the dispenser into each nostril. Keep the bottle upright during application.
– After use, replace the protective cap on the dispenser.

Warnings
Do not use in case of known hypersensitivity to any of the components. To date, no side effects are known, except for very rare cases of hypersensitivity. No known interactions. No studies have been conducted on interactions with other products. Any serious incident occurring after the use of LONTAX PLUS must be reported to the Manufacturer and the competent authority in your country.
LONTAX PLUS acts locally. Carragelose is not absorbed by the cells of the nasal mucosa. LONTAX PLUS can be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding. If symptoms persist, consult a doctor. For hygiene reasons and to avoid the transmission of pathogens, each bottle should always be used only by the same person. Keep out of sight and reach of children. LONTAX PLUS can be used for an extended period. There is no risk of habituation or overdose. LONTAX PLUS contains the natural substance Carragelose. LONTAX PLUS is a clinically tested medical device. LONTAX PLUS contains no pain relievers, preservatives, animal-derived components, or greenhouse gases. LONTAX PLUS is free from lactose and gluten and can be used by diabetics.

Storage
Store between 5°C and 30°C. Protect from light. Thanks to the special filtering system, the solution remains sterile even after repeated use. LONTAX PLUS can be used until the date indicated on the package.
Validity in intact packaging: 36 months.
