Spacer for metered-dose inhalers.
The use of the spacer is recommended by international guidelines for the proper treatment of asthma.
The spacer is recommended for adequate deposition of the medication in the lower airways, as the direct use of the inhaler, due to the high speed of the drug exiting, would cause the concentration of nebulized medication in the oro-pharynx.
L’espace helps limit the side effects of oro-pharyngeal deposition of the drug and facilitates coordination between the inspiratory act and the delivery with the metered-dose inhaler.
L’espace simplifies therapy and ensures more effective treatment with all metered-dose inhalers thanks to adequate distribution of the nebulized drug in the lower airways.

Instructions for use
1 – before use, carefully examine the product to ensure it is correctly assembled and that there are no foreign bodies or missing components. Remove any foreign body before use;
2 – before use, read the instructions provided with the MDI. Remove the cap from the MDI;
3 – insert the MDI into the base;
4 – place the mouthpiece in your mouth and hold it between your lips;
5 – press the MDI and inhale slowly through the mouth. Keep the mouthpiece in your mouth with your lips tightly closed for at least 5 breaths after pressing the inhaler. During inspiration, air enters through the openings at the base, facilitating the inhalation of the nebulized drug. The exhaled air exits through the expiration valve;
6 – wait 30 seconds before administering another dose of medication (repeat steps 4-5), or as directed by your doctor. Administer only one puff of medication at a time and follow the doctor’s dosing instructions.

Cleaning
if the device is used by the same person, clean it as indicated. If the device is used by multiple people, after each use, in addition to cleaning, sterilization in an autoclave at 121°C for 15 minutes is necessary. The device can be sterilized without compromising its functional characteristics up to 20 times, after which it needs to be replaced. If deemed appropriate, for thorough cleaning, the device can be boiled or washed in a dishwasher.
A – the product should be cleaned following the instructions below before first use and then at least once a week: remove the base and mask;
B – soak the parts for 15 minutes in warm water with neutral disinfectant detergent. Gently shake;
C – rinse in clean water;
D – shake to remove excess water as shown. Do not use dry cloths to dry the device parts. Ensure that the parts are dry before reassembling them;
E – reattach the base and mask when the parts are completely dry and ready for use. Center the alignment arrow on the back component with the alignment cavity on the body as shown.

Warnings
Replace the product if there is a damaged component. Some components due to their size may be swallowed by children. Do not leave these components unattended. Adult supervision is always necessary. Do not disassemble the product beyond what is indicated in the cleaning instructions. If in doubt about the use of the product, consult a doctor or pharmacist. Clean the product only as indicated in these instructions to ensure its operational effectiveness.

Storage
When not in use, store the product in a clean container.
Replace the product after 24 months of continuous use.

Format
– Yellow base: mask for children aged 2-6 years;
– Orange base: mask for children aged 0-2 years;
– Magenta base: mask for adults.
