Description
Azulene eye drops is a lubricant that hydrates the ocular surface, particularly indicated when the eye is dry and the ocular surface is damaged.
Hyaluronic acid promotes the re-epithelialization of the damaged corneal epithelium, while the long chain prevents the formation of pro-inflammatory hyaluronic acid particles and enhances its lubricating action during blinking.
Thanks to its high capacity to incorporate water molecules, hyaluronic acid helps to reintegrate and stabilize the tear film.
EDTA acts as a chelating agent and is useful in all corneal pathologies caused by foreign bodies, especially alkaline cations. For this reason, it is particularly indicated in ocular surface pathologies due to air pollution and fine dust.
It also has the ability to reduce the osmolarity of the tear, which in the case of dry eye is inherently high, increasing the bioavailability of water in the tear film.
