herp

Complementary feed
for cats

The product is indicated to supplement the diet with Lactoferrin and Lysine in cats subject to infectious pressure (such as carriers of Herpes Virus and Calicivirus) at the first signs of symptoms and during periods of exacerbation of the same.
Lactoferrin is a natural protein that mammals receive at birth through colostrum and breast milk and is physiologically present in all organic fluids (tears, saliva, bile, urine, blood, semen, cervical mucus), where immediate non-specific defense against the entry of infectious agents from the outside is necessary.
Lactoferrin is a component of bovine milk, from which it can be isolated using specific purification techniques.
The product contains a specific protein fraction of milk, particularly rich in Lactoferrin.
It is associated with Lysine, whose nutritional supplementation in adequate quantities helps support and enhance the animals’ ability to react to difficulties arising from possible infections.

Components
1 ml of Herp provides:
• Lactoferrin: 60 mg
• Lysine hydrochloride: 250 mg (equivalent to 200 mg of free Lysine).

Usage instructions
For oral use
Administer 1 ml for every 2 kg of the cat’s weight twice a day for the first 7 days and then halve the amount (1 ml for every 4 kg of the cat’s weight twice a day). Depending on the packaging, use the graduated dropper (50 ml packaging) or the graduated syringe (120 ml packaging) provided or, alternatively, keep in mind that:
• 1 teaspoon corresponds to about 2 ml;
• 1 teaspoon corresponds to about 3 ml.
Administer the specified amount, possibly divided into two different times of the day, directly into the mouth or mixed with a small amount of palatable food.
Herp should be administered at the first signs of symptoms and until they have subsided.
In the case of chronic pathological manifestations, the product should be administered continuously or in cycles at the discretion of the veterinarian.

Format
50 ml
