Description
Ophthalmic drops with soothing and lubricating action. The product is indicated for the protection of the ocular surface in all conditions characterized by qualitative and quantitative alterations of the tear film. Oculvet Drops is not a veterinary medicine, but a product for the hygiene of the eyes of dogs and cats. Sterile, isotonic solution, with physiological pH. Preservative-free.

Properties
PEA (palmitoylethanolamide) is a lipid substance naturally present in various structures of the eye. The topical application of PEA, made soluble by the use of cyclodextrin, exerts a soothing effect. Hyaluronic acid is a substance capable of binding to the surface of the eye and retaining large amounts of water, thus regulating the hydration state of the ocular surface and, therefore, its lubrication.

Method of use
1 or 2 drops per eye two or more times a day, according to the Veterinarian’s advice.
Wash hands thoroughly.
Remove any secretions around the eye using a sterile wipe (e.g., Oculvet Wipes).
Detach a vial from the strip holding it from the opposite side of the opening cap.
Shake it lightly for a few seconds and open it by twisting the cap.
Hold the animal still, pull down the lower eyelid and instill the preparation, being careful not to touch the eye with the edge of the vial.
The inverted cap can be used to reseal the vial.

Components
Aqua, methyl cyclodextrin, glycerin, polyvinyl alcohol, disodium phosphate, potassium citrate, sodium hyaluronate, sodium phosphate, palmitamide mea, sodium chloride, citric acid.

Storage
Use the contents of the vial within 36 hours of first opening.
Once opened, the vial should be stored in the refrigerator.
Shelf life in unopened packaging: 36 months.
