Description
Single-use adhesive film for ear protection, made of a polyurethane adhesive film “protect film”.
It is indicated for protecting the auricle of patients with infectious and/or inflammatory conditions affecting the outer and middle ear with or without perforation of the tympanic membrane, in post-operative recovery, or in individuals with hearing aids or trans-tympanic drainage.
OTOSCUDO replicates the shape of the auricle with a configuration that makes it bilateral, meaning it can be applied equally to the right or left ear.
It is made of three layers: the adhesive film “protect film”, a covering layer applied to the non-adhesive side of the protect film, and a release layer to be removed that is in contact with the adhesive side to allow for easy release of OTOSCUDO at the time of application.
Thanks to the characteristics of the polyurethane adhesive film “protect film”, OTOSCUDO is:
transparent: the adhesive film applied to the ear is transparent and aesthetically almost invisible;
waterproof: the adhesive film protects the ear from exposure to air and water, such as during sea baths, showers, swimming, and, more generally, during outdoor recreational and sports activities;
breathable: the film is gas-permeable. This allows for air passage, preventing condensation and maintaining the ability to hear voices and sounds, particularly beneficial for hearing aid users.

How to use
1. Remove the central part (the largest one) of the white adhesive cover.
2. Hold the protector by the two ends that have the remaining adhesive cover with the fingers of both hands.
Apply the protector to the ear while keeping it taut, aligning the upper part with the adhesive cover on the top of the auricle and the lower part with the adhesive cover on the lobe.
Once the central part of the film adheres well, remove the two remaining adhesive cover parts on the film, ensuring that the entire surface adheres to the ear.
3. Remove the two transparent green square support parts from the film, being careful not to detach it from the ear. It is advisable to keep the film steady, pressing half of it while removing the other half of the support and vice versa.
4. Once all the support is removed, ensure that every part of the film adheres well to the ear by pressing it against the ear.
