The maltodextrins in Friliver Sport Long Energy are carbohydrates that are easily soluble in water and digestible without difficulty, unlike complex carbohydrates from foods such as pasta, bread, and rice. Consuming maltodextrins during long workouts or competitions ensures a constant and continuous energy supply while keeping blood sugar relatively stable. This characteristic, essential for endurance athletes, is not found in simple sugars like sucrose (table sugar). The latter are quickly absorbed and burned by the body, causing a rapid increase in blood sugar (glycemic peak) followed by a quick depletion of their effect.
