ADVANTIX Spot-On For the treatment and prevention of flea infestations (C.canis, C.felis) and for the treatment of lice (Trichodectes canis) in dogs over 4 kg up to 10 kg.

Ingredients
Butylated hydroxytoluene (E321) 1.0 mg/ml; N-methylpyrrolidone; millet 812; citric acid (E330).

How to use
It is possible that ticks already present on the dog may not be killed within two days after treatment and may remain attached and visible.
Therefore, it is recommended to remove any ticks already present on the dog at the time of treatment to prevent them from attaching and taking a blood meal.
The minimum recommended dose is 10 mg of imidacloprid per kg body weight and 50 mg of permethrin per kg body weight.
For dogs weighing >40 kg body weight, the appropriate combination of pipettes should be used.
To reduce reinfestation due to the appearance of new fleas, it is recommended to treat all animals in the household environment. Other animals cohabiting in the same household environment should be treated with a suitable product.
To further contribute to reducing the environmental threat, the additional use of a suitable environmental treatment against adult fleas and their developing stages is recommended.
The product remains effective if the animal gets wet.
However, intense and prolonged exposure to water should be avoided.
In cases of frequent exposure, the persistence of effectiveness may be reduced.
In these cases, do not repeat the treatment more frequently than once a week. If a shampoo is required for the dog, it is better to do it before the application of the product or at least two weeks after to optimize its effectiveness.
In case of lice infestations, a follow-up visit is recommended 30 days after treatment, as some animals may require a second treatment.
Apply only to intact skin. Do not apply an excessive amount of solution at any point that may cause some of it to run down the sides of the dog.

Storage
Do not freeze.
After opening the aluminum pouch, store in a dry place at a temperature not exceeding 30 °C.

Warnings
Care should be taken to avoid the contents of the pipette coming into contact with the eyes or mouth of the treated dogs.
Care should be taken to administer the product correctly as described. In particular, oral ingestion due to licking of the application site by treated animals or by animals in contact with them should be prevented.
Do not use on cats as it is extremely toxic to them and could be fatal due to the peculiar physiology of cats that are unable to metabolize certain compounds, such as permethrin.
To prevent cats from being accidentally exposed to the product, keep treated dogs away from cats after treatment and until the application site has dried.
Since the product is dangerous to aquatic organisms, under no circumstances should treated dogs be allowed to enter any type of surface water for at least 48 hours after treatment.
On very rare occasions, dogs may exhibit transient skin sensitivity (increased local itching, scratching and rubbing, hair loss, and redness at the application site) or lethargy, which generally resolve spontaneously.
In very rare cases, dogs may show behavioral changes (agitation, restlessness, whining, or rolling movements) gastrointestinal symptoms (vomiting, diarrhea, hypersalivation, decreased appetite) and neurological signs such as staggering movements and contractions in dogs susceptible to the substance permethrin.
These signs are generally transient and resolve spontaneously.
