ADVANTIX Spot-On
Ingredients
Butylated hydroxytoluene (E321) 1.0 mg/ml; N-methylpyrrolidone; millet 812; citric acid (E330).
How to use
One treatment prevents further flea infestation for four weeks.
The minimum recommended dose is 10 mg of imidacloprid per kg body weight and 50 mg of permethrin per kg body weight.
For dogs weighing >40 kg body weight, the appropriate combination of pipettes should be used. To reduce reinfestation due to the appearance of new fleas, it is recommended to treat all animals in the household environment.
Other animals cohabiting in the same household environment should be treated with a suitable product.
To further contribute to reducing the environmental threat, the additional use of a suitable environmental treatment against adult fleas and their developing stages is recommended.
The product remains effective if the animal gets wet.
However, intense and prolonged exposure to water should be avoided. In case of frequent exposure, the persistence of effectiveness may be reduced. In these cases, do not repeat the treatment more frequently than once a week. If a shampoo is required for the dog, it is better to do it before the application of the product or at least two weeks after to optimize its effectiveness.
In case of lice infestations, a follow-up visit is recommended 30 days after treatment, as some animals may require a second treatment. Apply only to intact skin.
Do not apply an excessive amount of solution at any point that may cause some of it to run down the sides of the dog.
Warnings
Care should be taken to avoid the contents of the pipette coming into contact with the eyes or mouth of the treated dogs.
Care should be taken to administer the product correctly as described. In particular, oral ingestion due to licking of the application site by treated animals or by animals in contact with them should be prevented.
Do not use on cats as it is extremely toxic to them and could be fatal due to the peculiar physiology of cats that are unable to metabolize certain compounds, such as permethrin.
To prevent cats from being accidentally exposed to the product, keep treated dogs away from cats after treatment and until the application site has dried.
It is important to ensure that cats do not lick the application site of a dog treated with this product. Since the product is dangerous to aquatic organisms, under no circumstances should treated dogs be allowed to enter any type of surface water for at least 48 hours after treatment.
– Special precautions for those administering: avoid contact of the product with skin, eyes, or mouth.
Do not eat, drink, or smoke during application. Wash hands thoroughly after use.
In case of accidental spillage on skin, wash immediately with soap and water.
People with known skin sensitivity may be particularly sensitive to this product.
The predominant clinical symptoms that may occur in extremely rare cases are transient sensory skin irritations such as tingling, burning sensation, or numbness.
If the product accidentally gets into the eyes, they should be rinsed thoroughly with water. If skin or eye irritation persists or if the product is accidentally ingested, seek immediate medical attention.
Treated animals should not be handled, especially by children, until the application site is dry.
This can be ensured by treating dogs in the evening. The solvent contained in the product may stain some materials including leather, fabric, plastic, and polished surfaces.
Allow the application site to dry before allowing contact with such materials.
It can be used during pregnancy and lactation.
Storage
Do not freeze.
After opening the aluminum pouch, store in a dry place at a temperature not exceeding 30 degrees C.
